The registration desk will open on 1st September and stay open all through the Congress from 7.00 am to 6.15 pm
Slide Center
Opening hours are the following:
• August 31: 4.00 am – 6.00 pm
• September 1: 7.00 am – 5.15 pm
• September 2: 7.00 am – 5.15 pm
• September 3: (*)6.15 am – 5.15 pm
• September 4: 7.00 am – 1.00 pm
*(speakers who have a speech early in the morning are kindly requested to hand in their presentations the day before)
It is essential for the smooth running of the sessions that all speakers hand in their Power Point presentations in due time. Presentations must be handed over to the Slide Center in advance, even the day before the session but at least one hour before.
The Official O.S. of the Congress is Microsoft Windows: Speakers with Macintosh presentations should hand in their slides at least half a day before the Session.
Poster and Video presentations
There will be no oral parallel sessions for this Conference, in order to give particular emphasis to poster and video presentations. In this aim, in addition to the traditional poster exhibit, a computer "stream presentation" will be shown in a special room: this consists of a computer display of up to 5 power point slides prepared by the author(s) to complete a poster with pertinent details or instructive commentaries. Throughout the Congress, the Poster Jury as well as the attendees will have access, at any time, to the stream presentation of any posters on the program.
Twelve Posters will be selected by the Jury, to be given in an oral presentation (5 min. + 3 min. discussion) during the Topic Forum 6 scheduled for Monday, September 3, (10:15 am – 12:00 pm). In case of selection of their abstract, they will be asked to bring the corresponding slides to the Slide Center on Monday, September 3 within 9.00 am to be included in the stream.
Poster area
The posters exhibition will be open on Saturday, September 1 from 10:00 am
• Poster set-up: Saturday, September 1, from 8:00 to 10:00 am
• Poster removal must be completed on September 4 by 3:00 pm
Best poster Award
The Best Poster will be announced on 3rd September during the Congress and will be awarded by the OESO Organizing Committee during the Gala Dinner on 3rd September at Villa Erba.
The “Fellow and Young Investigator Award”
• The winners will be announced during the Opening Ceremony and will be honored during the Gala evening. They will be special guests (registration and accommodation) of the OESO 12th Conference in Paris, August 27-30, 2013
Certificate of attendance
All registered participants will receive their certificate of attendance at the end of the congress.
Lunches
On 2nd and 3rd September light lunches will be served free of charge in the Conference Center to all registered participants wearing congress badges.
